Project Overview
Unit City operates a multilingual WordPress website that serves international audiences across multiple regions. As the number of supported languages grew, manual content translation became unsustainable. Pages, posts, WooCommerce products, and complex Elementor layouts all required separate manual handling for each language version.
Existing solutions based on Polylang did not support automation at scale. Elementor content stored in structured JSON was left untranslated, internal links broke across languages, and adding new languages often disconnected existing translations.
We developed a custom WordPress plugin that fully automates multilingual translation while working seamlessly with Polylang, Elementor, and WooCommerce. The plugin translates entire pages including complex layouts, preserves design integrity, maintains language relationships, and localizes internal links automatically.

1. Smart Content Detection
The plugin automatically detects content type including standard posts, Elementor pages, and WooCommerce products. Translatable fields are identified without user configuration, including custom widgets and internal links.
2. AI Translation Integration
A secure translation API was integrated with batch processing support, intelligent content splitting, retry logic, and authentication via client UID.
3. Deep Elementor Processing
The plugin extracts content directly from Elementor JSON structures, translates all supported widgets, and applies translations back to the exact widget positions while preserving styling, animations, and responsive settings.

4. Advanced Queue Management
Asynchronous background processing prevents timeouts and supports large translation batches. Admin users can track progress, pause or resume queues, and retry failed items.
5. Automated Translation Workflows
Manual triggers are available on edit screens and bulk actions. Automatic triggers include scheduled CRON processing and optional auto translation on publish.
