Stage 1

Design

The engagement opened with a complete Magento 2 UI/UX design sprint for a Magento 2 website from scratch.

 

  • Scope of pages. Wire-frames and high-fidelity layouts were produced for the main landing page, product-category lists, individual product pages, cart, and checkout.
  • Iteration with the client. Three alternative visual concepts were shared, refined, and A/B-reviewed until the chosen direction matched both conversion best-practices and IceMachinesPlus’ industrial-kitchen aesthetic.
  • Responsiveness & accessibility. A Hyvä-based theme was crafted, performance-budgeted, and WCAG-checked so the storefront feels snappy on every screen size.
  • Design continuity. When the time came to move the online store to Magento 2, the entire look & feel was ported forward with only minor layout tweaks required by the new platform’s theming rules.
  • Bulk-content efficiency. A customised “mass-action” module lets admins add attributes, remove data, create new items, or import images in bulk—proven when 40 000 product photos were updated in one shot.

Development

Migration to Magento 2

The final step was a seamless online store to Magento 2 transition:

  • Data & media port. All products, customers, orders, and 10+ years of media assets migrated with zero downtime.
  • SEO preservation. A comprehensive redirect map ensured every legacy URL resolved, protecting hard-earned rankings.
